barbecue sauce
½
cup
brown sugar
1
tablespoon
garlic powder
1
tablespoon
paprika
Instructions
Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic powder, and paprika.
Remove the membrane from the ribs and rub the spice mixture evenly over the ribs.
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bones.
Remove ribs from the oven, unwrap, and brush with barbecue sauce.
Broil on high for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
Notes
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for more tender results.
Marinate the ribs overnight for deeper flavor penetration.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure ribs are cooked to a safe internal temperature.
For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the barbecue sauce.
Broil the ribs for a few minutes after baking for a crispy, caramelized exterior.
