cups
grated cheese
your choice
¼
cup
Dijon mustard
1
egg
beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out puff pastry into a large rectangle. Spread a thin layer of mustard evenly over the surface.
Layer ham slices on top of the mustard, then sprinkle cheese evenly over the ham.
Tightly roll up the puff pastry from the long side, sealing the edge with a little water if needed.
Brush the top with egg wash, then slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions for best results.
Roll out puff pastry evenly to prevent uneven cooking.
Spread a thin layer of mustard to avoid making the pinwheels soggy.
Make sure to slice pinwheels with a sharp knife for clean cuts.
Bake pinwheels on parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
