Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium cabbage thinly sliced and boiled
  • 4 cups sauerkraut
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/2 lb bacon sliced
  • 1 lb pork diced
  • 1 lb Kielbasa sausage sliced
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  • Boil sauerkraut in about 2 cups of water, strain and set sour water aside.
  • Put cooking oil, garlic, sausage, onionsand bacon into the Instant Pot and select “Sauté”.
  • Sauté for about 3 minutes and add diced pork.
  • Sauté for about 4 minutes and keep aside.
  • Combine sauerkraut, cooked cabbage, tomato paste, sour water, cooked meats, onions, garlic and spices.
  • Let simmer for about 1 hour and dish out.
