  • 6 mediums apples cored and quartered
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 orange zested and juiced
  • 1(1-inch) piece fresh ginger sliced
  • 7 whole cloves
  • 2 sticks cinnamon


  • In a high-speed blender,add the apple pieces and water and pulse until well combined.
  • Through a fine mesh strainer, strain the apple juice into the pot of instant pot.
  • In the pot, add the maple syrup, orange juice, zest, ginger, cloves and cinnamon sticks and stir to combine.
  • Select "Sauté" and cook for about 2-3 minutes or mixture starts to boil.
  • Press “Cancel” and stir the mixture.
  • Secure the lid and turn to “Seal” position.
  • Cook on “Manual” with “High Pressure” for about 10 minutes.
  • Press “Cancel” and allow a natural release for about 15 minutes and then, do a quick release.
  • Remove the lid and through a fine mesh strainer, strain the hot spiced apple cider into mugs.
  • Serve immediately.
