Instructions
Arrange a steamer trivet in the bottom of Instant Pot and pour 1½ cups of the water.
Arrange the cabbage head on top of the trivet, core-side down.
Secure the lid and turn to “Seal” position.
Cook on “Manual” with “High Pressure” for about 9 minutes.
Meanwhile,in a bowl, add the rice and remaining water and mix well.
Set aside for about 10 minutes.
In another bowl, add the meat, ⅓ cup of the tomato sauce from 1 can,
onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper and mix well.
Press “Cancel” and allow a natural release for about 5 minutes and then, do a quick release.
Remove the lid and transfer the cabbage head onto a plate.
Remove the water and trivet from the pot.
In the pot, add the remaining tomato sauce from the opened can and 1
teaspoon of salt and mix well.
Again, arrange the steamer trivet over the tomato sauce.
Drain the rice and add into the bowl with the meat mixture.
Carefully, separate the cabbage leaves from the head and shave off the tough veins.
Arrange the cabbage leaves onto a smooth surface.
Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture onto each leaf and roll up, tucking in the sides.
Arrange the rolled leaves on top of the trivet.
Place the remaining can of tomato sauce over the rolls evenly.
Secure the lid and turn to “Seal” position.
Select “Meat/Stew” and just use the default time of 22 minutes.
Press “Cancel” and allow a natural release for about 10 minutes and then, do a quick release.
Remove the lid and transfer the rolls onto a platter.
Serve hot.
