WMF Perfect Pro Vs. T-FAL Clipso Pressure Cookers

WMF Perfect Pro Vs. T-FAL Clipso Pressure Cookers

Smaller names in pressure cooking are always interesting ones to cover. Comparing them really gives insight into some of the higher quality cookers you might not know about.

This article will be comparing the WMF Perfect Pro and the T-FAL Clipso Pressure cookers. Both of these cookers have been covered before and are two that I particularly find interesting.

Both of these cookers are fairly good for their value and are great alternatives to one another depending on your needs. Hopefully, this article will help you be better informed so that you can get a better bargain on a pressure cooker in the future.

For the most part, if you are looking for something more on the affordable side, I would recommend going with the T-FAL Clipso. It is much more affordable than the WMF Perfect Pro, and for the price, I believe it is well worth it.

Let’s take a look at the first cooker, the T-FAL Clipso and see what it has to offer.

The T-FAL P45007 Clipso

T-FAL P45007 Stovetop Pressure CookerThis cooker is a great cooker to start with. This cooker comes in either a 6.3-quart option or an 8-quart option, something the P25107 model lacks.

This cooker is one of the many pressure cookers T-FAL has made and has quite a few features that you don’t see all too often unless you purchase one of the more expensive pressure cookers on the market.

This cooker, like the one above, is made from a stainless steel alloy and is completely dishwasher safe. You don’t have to always wash it by hand, so it is very convenient.

The 8-quart option is significantly more expensive than the 6.3-quart option. Making it less appealing. The 8-quart option cost around $115.

The stainless steel cooker can be used with any method, including induction heating.

The P45 comes with a couple accessories that the P25 lacks.

  1. Steam basket.
  2. A Stand.
  3. A recipe booklet.

This cooker also has multiple PSI settings(steam release controls) for some added control when cooking.

The cooking handle is a one-touch, safe handle that rests on top of the lid and keeps the cooker a safe alternative to most cookers. The nice thing about this is that it stays locked in place while the cooker is pressurized so your little ones(if you have any) won’t be able to open the pot and hurt themselves.

Overall, this cooker is really great. The only drawback I would say is that the 8-quart model is so pricey.

The WMF Perfect Pro Stovetop Pressure Cooker

WMF Perfect Pro Stovetop Pressure CookerThe WMF Perfect Pro is one of many pots manufactured under the WMF brand name.  It, like many of the others from WMF, are priced quite high.

This cooker is one of the nicer cookers you will find from WMF, it has many convenience features that really make it worth the buy. This coupled with it being made from arguably the most useful kitchen metal out there, really helps make it feel worth what you’re putting in it.

  • The Perfect Pro tries to stay true to the basics of pressure cooking while still making sure to add some convenience to really make it worth the price.

Let’s list the pros of this cooker;

  • This cooker is made from 18/10 stainless steel. This assures that the pot is durable, easy to clean, and scratch resistant.
  • The Perfect Pro is safe for all surfaces -including inductions. Making it a nice choice for any kitchen or restaurant.
  • This cooker comes with something many stovetop pressure cookers lack; It has an inside scale that allows you to make accurate measurements so as not to overfill or underfill the pot when preparing a meal.
  • The controls for the pressure setting and such are on an all-in-one control knob on the handle, keeping things simple and compact.
  • This cooker also features a removable, flame-resistant pot handle and side handle.

So this cooker is without a doubt a very nice cooker and has many things that are nice to have on a cooker.

One thing to note is that it is priced notably high. While it is by no means the most expensive cooker on the market, it is not the cheapest either.

That being said, I still definitely find this cooker worth the buy if you are looking for a stovetop pressure cooker that is comfortable and compact.

How Are The WMF Perfect Pro And The T-FAL Clipso Different?

For most consumers, the differences might seem obvious, like the price difference or the appearance.

Aside from those, there aren’t too many differences. The Stainless Steel in the T-FAL Clipso is less thick than the WMF Perfect Pro.

The T-FAL Clipso is in many ways the less expensive version of the WMF Perfect Pro It has many of the same functions as the WMF and aside from variable pressure and the dishwasher safeness of the Clipso, it can be hard to find a difference in them.

So which should you as the consumer choose?

The Verdict?

Overall, I think it is safe to say that for most people the T-FAL Clipso is going to be the better option of the two.

The T-FAL Clipso has many of the same functions the WMF Perfect Pro has and is at almost a fraction of the price.

The only real drawback I would say for not getting the T-FAL Clipso is that there are not as many size options to choose from when looking at the T-FAL cooker. Whereas the WMF Perfect Pro has 4 different options.

Not to say that the Perfect Pro isn’t worth what is priced at, but the Clipso does much of the same stuff, while at a more affordable price point. But if you really want the extra flash or just want to splurge, the WMF Perfect Pro is definitely worth getting.
