Smaller names in pressure cooking are always interesting ones to cover. Comparing them really gives insight into some of the higher quality cookers you might not know about.
Both of these cookers are fairly good for their value and are great alternatives to one another depending on your needs. Hopefully, this article will help you be better informed so that you can get a better bargain on a pressure cooker in the future.
For the most part, if you are looking for something more on the affordable side, I would recommend going with the T-FAL Clipso. It is much more affordable than the WMF Perfect Pro, and for the price, I believe it is well worth it.
Let’s take a look at the first cooker, the T-FAL Clipso and see what it has to offer.
The T-FAL P45007 Clipso
This cooker is one of the many pressure cookers T-FAL has made and has quite a few features that you don’t see all too often unless you purchase one of the more expensive pressure cookers on the market.
This cooker, like the one above, is made from a stainless steel alloy and is completely dishwasher safe. You don’t have to always wash it by hand, so it is very convenient.
The 8-quart option is significantly more expensive than the 6.3-quart option. Making it less appealing. The 8-quart option cost around $115.
The stainless steel cooker can be used with any method, including induction heating.
The P45 comes with a couple accessories that the P25 lacks.
- Steam basket.
- A Stand.
- A recipe booklet.
This cooker also has multiple PSI settings(steam release controls) for some added control when cooking.
The cooking handle is a one-touch, safe handle that rests on top of the lid and keeps the cooker a safe alternative to most cookers. The nice thing about this is that it stays locked in place while the cooker is pressurized so your little ones(if you have any) won’t be able to open the pot and hurt themselves.
Overall, this cooker is really great. The only drawback I would say is that the 8-quart model is so pricey.
The WMF Perfect Plus Stovetop Pressure Cooker
It has many things that make it feel similar to one of the other cookers from WMF; The Perfect Pro. In many cases, it really is similar. WMF had similarity in mind when making these products, trying to add small adjustments with each model, both in function and price.
This cooker features many things;
- A removable handle for easy storage.
- The removable handle, as well as the side handle, are flame resistant, making it an ideal choice for anyone using a stove that lets off a lot of flames.
- This cooker comes with an inside measurement scale to help prevent overfilling or underfilling the pot.
- This cooker is also made from 18/10 Stainless Steel, which is a highly durable metal that helps the heat spread evenly throughout the pot. Although, being steel, this pot is quite heavy, especially the larger sizes.
You can’t really go wrong with any of their cookers. They are reasonably priced, although they are by no means the cheapest on the market.
Albeit a smaller name, I would definitely consider purchasing this cooker if I was looking for a new one.
How Are The WMF Perfect Plus And The T-FAL Clipso Different?
For most consumers, the differences might seem obvious, like the price difference or the appearance.
Aside from those, there aren’t too many differences. The Stainless Steel in the T-FAL Clipso is less thick than the WMF Perfect Plus.
The T-FAL Clipso is in many ways the less expensive version of the WMF Perfect Plus. Although, unlike its counterpart, the WMF Perfect Pro, it lacks a lot that the T-FAL Clipso cooker has. Overall, in many ways, I find that the T-FAL Clipso is a much better option.
So which should you as the consumer choose?
Overall, I think it is safe to say that for most people the T-FAL Clipso is going to be the better option of the two.
The T-FAL Clipso has many of the same functions the WMF Perfect Pro has and is at almost a fraction of the price.
The only real drawback I would say for not getting the T-FAL Clipso is that there are not as many size options to choose from when looking at the T-FAL cooker. Whereas the WMF Perfect Pro has 4 different options.
Not to say that the Perfect Pro isn’t worth what is priced at, but the Clipso does much of the same stuff, while at a more affordable price point. But if you really want the extra flash or just want to splurge, the WMF Perfect Pro is definitely worth getting.
