Brussels sprouts - Be sure that you're using fresh Brussels sprouts for this recipe. They're needed to get that perfect texture and taste.

Garlic - Minced garlic adds great flavor but you can also use garlic powder.

Dijon mustard - This is the special ingredient to really take the flavor and taste over the top!

Vegetable broth - I love using vegetable broth, but you can use chicken stock, turkey stock or water.

Salt and pepper  - To taste.

FAQs

How do I know when Brussels is done cooking?

You can use a fork to test them. Just stick a fork down into the Brussel and see if it's tender. If they're fork-tender, they're done and ready to eat!

What toppings go well with cooked Brussel Sprouts?

There are so many toppings to consider! Parmesan cheese is one of my favorites, but melted butter on top is amazing as well. You can also just use salt and pepper and put that right on top.

Can I freeze Brussel sprouts?

Yes, you can freeze cooked Brussel sprouts! Just let them cool down all the way and then store them in the freezer.

Yes, you can. This is actually great news because you don't have to worry about undercooking them! If you like them to have a crunchier texture, then that works out just fine.

  1. very tasty but the brussel sprouts came out totally mushy. Maybe I sautéed them tooling in an effort to brown them.

  2. 5 stars
    I love Brussel sprouts.
this was similar to a roasted baby potato recipe i found in my original Instant Pot manual. I did the same as some others and sautéed without the liquid for about 8 min, then pressure cooked on low for 5 min. Mine were not too mushy. Oh, I added onions to the sauté, and used a little avo oil as I m vegan. still delicious. Many thanks. salud!

    1. That sounds great, thanks for sharing! I especially love the idea of adding onions. I'm glad it worked out for you and that you enjoyed the recipe.
