  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon onion finely diced
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup white rice (uncooked, rinsed)
  • 2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tp red wine vinegar


For Meatballs:

  • Take a bowl and add the beef, onion, egg, rice, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.
  • Mix well and form 14-15 small meatballs and set aside.

For Sauce:

  • Turn on the instant pot and select sauté.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Let the sauce get warm.
  • When the sauce starts to simmer, add in meatballs.
  • Close the lid of the instant pot and cancel sauté mode.
  • Set the instant pot to “Manual” at high pressure for 25 minutes, release the pressure naturally for 15 minutes through steam vent.
  • Open the lid of the instant pot.
  • Serve meatballs, pour sauce over them and enjoy.

  1. Hi Corrie, I'm looking for an instant pot recipe for porcupine meatballs using brown rice. That's how I always make them in the oven. Not sure how much cooking time to add for Gourmia express pot /instant pot. Thanks.

  2. This recipe might be easier to use if you told us which ingredients are the sauce ingredients, and which ingredients are for the meatballs.
