Instant Pot Porcupine Meatballs

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp onion finely diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup white rice (uncooked, rinsed)
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tp red wine vinegar

For Meatballs:

  • Take a bowl and add the beef, onion, egg, rice, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.
  • Mix well and form 14-15 small meatballs and set aside.

For Sauce:

  • Turn on the instant pot and select sauté.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Let the sauce get warm.
  • When the sauce starts to simmer, add in meatballs.
  • Close the lid of the instant pot and cancel sauté mode.
  • Set the instant pot to “Manual” at high pressure for 25 minutes, release the pressure naturally for 15 minutes through steam vent.
  • Open the lid of the instant pot.
  • Serve meatballs, pour sauce over them and enjoy.

  1. This recipe might be easier to use if you told us which ingredients are the sauce ingredients, and which ingredients are for the meatballs.

  2. Hi Corrie, I’m looking for an instant pot recipe for porcupine meatballs using brown rice. That’s how I always make them in the oven. Not sure how much cooking time to add for Gourmia express pot /instant pot. Thanks.
