Instant Pot Indian Mutton Curry

This Indian mutton curry is a great hit and it tastes amazing. You can make it spicy if you want to. It is great when you serve it with naan.

  • 6 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 lb mutton meat
  • 2 cups onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger chopped finely
  • 4 tsp A-1 steak sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 10 tsp garlic minced
  • 2 jalapeno chopped finely
  • 3 cups carrots peeled
  • 3 cups potatoes
  • 4 cups coconut milk canned unsweetened
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Turn on the instant pot and select sauté.
  • Add oil and mutton and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add garlic, ginger, jalapenos, onions and sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Add carrots, potatoes, beef broth, turmeric, A-1 steak, salt and black pepper.
  • Close the lid of the instant pot.
  • Set instant pot to Manual at high pressure and cook for 15 minutes. Release the pressure naturally for 10 through steam vent.
  • Add coconut milk, garnish with cilantro and serve.
