Instant Pot Indian Goat Curry

It is a flavoursome curry, rich in sodium and is quite healthy. It is served hot and is a treat for meat lovers.

  • 2 lb bone-in goat
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 1/2 inch fresh ginger minced
  • 2 cups tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • Put oil and goat meat in the inner pot of Instant pot. Select “Sauté”.
  • After 3 minutes, add onions, ginger, garlic and spices in the iInstant pot.
  • Sauté for 3 minutes and add diced tomatoes, water and potatoes.
  • Press “Cancel” and cover the lid of Instant pot.
  • Press the “Manual” button and cook for about 45 minutes on HIGH pressure.
  • Release the pressure naturally through the steam vent and open the lid.
  • Dish out and serve hot.
