Instant Pot Home-Style Meatloaf

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste salt
  • Grind together ground beef, onions, salt, black pepper and egg in a grinder.
  • Mold the ground mixture into loaves-like shape.
  • Put the olive oil and meat loaves in the Instant Pot and select “Sauté”.
  • Sauté for 2 minutes on each side and add tomato sauce.
  • Set the Instant Pot to “Manual” mode for 8 minutes at high pressure.
  • Release the pressure naturally and dish out in a serving bowl.

  1. I don’t have a grinder so what else can I do. How many loaves do I form. I haven’t used instant pot so have to learn how to safely release pressure. A bit nervous about that. Thx !

    1. Not a problem, if you don’t have a grinder, you can finely mince or grate the onion, and mix everything in a mixing bowl (ground beef, minced onion, salt and pepper, egg) And don’t be nervous! Just read the manual thoroughly. There’s a few things to keep in mind sure, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time 🙂
