Instant Pot French Fries Recipe Video
Ingredients
This recipe requires simple ingredients: potatoes, oil and spices.
I like the natural taste, so I'm using only paprika, cornstarch, salt and pepper.
Feel free to take out the cornstarch.
Also feel free to change the suggesting spices and use whatever spices and seasoning you like the most!
How to make French Fries
Peel the potatoes.
Cut them into ¼-inch thick fries.
In a bowl, mix the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, cornstarch (optional) and any other spices you like.
Place the french fries in the air fryer basket. One layer is better but if you need to make a large batch you can place them as I did in the image below.
Cover with the Air Fryer Lid.
AIR FRY at 375 F° for 10 minutes.
Open the lid, flip the fries, and AIR FRY at 375 F° for another 10 minutes.
Open the lid and take out the french fries.
In case the fries are too soft, close the lid and AIR FRY for a few more minutes.
Serve and enjoy 🙂
What do you put on top of French fries?
You have so many options: Ketchup, mayonnaise, gravy, Tabasco sauce, four-cheese sauce, barbecue sauce etc.

If you are making many a few batches in advance, you can keep fried potatoes from getting soggy by placing them on a tray in a warm oven. That way they will remain crispy while serving.

Made these and it worked out perfectly. The only thing I’d change is not to use Canola oil, never use any type of seed oil. They are chemically processed and extremely bad for you. Cold pressed oils only. I used olive oil but avocado would work as well.
How many potatoes can I cook at once i have to 8 quart instapot duo crisp and air fryer
Any appliance store, as well as Bestbuy \ Amazon \ Walmart.
Thank you very much Terri : ) Let me know how it goes!
I just purchased the Duo Crisp and Air Fryer instant pot. Should I use the the Air Fryer option with your recipe o another function?
I'm so happy for you Angie:)
And yes, just use that air fryer option.
I guess you have the ALL-IN-ONE Instant Pot, where the air fryer is already in the lid. If so, than you are right and since it's only 1 appliance it need to be plugged in.
I have the regular Instant Pot Duo and an external lid for air-frying.
Hope it makes sense now :]
I have the Instant Pot Duo Plus and just purchased the Air Fryer lid. Do I need to plug the Instant Pot in or just the Air Fryer lid?
Plug only the Air Fryer Lid. Instant Pot needs to be unplugged.
Be sure to read the safety information which came with your lid, it covers more than just what can be plugged in.
Hi you need to put more Ninja Foodi recipes I will be watching thanks Lisa
Can I leave the skins on the potatoes?
Yes you can 🙂
Would this work without oil? Trying to work out if I should buy an instant pot …
You can use cooking spray instead. But I think making it crispy without at least some oil would be impossible.
You should absolutely buy an Instant Pot! We use it every week and save hours on cooking and clean up!
I made it. Doesn't look like the picture but really delicious!!
Glad you liked it Dave ^_^
Fries were delicious and crisp. 6 stars
Thank you!! I love using the IP air fryer for french fries 🙂
