Instant Pot Fondue

Heavy cream - This adds richness to the chocolate once it's melted. 

Amaretto liqueur - Talk about a treat! You can omit this as well if you do not want to have the alcohol in the recipe. 

Chocolate - I use bittersweet chocolate, but you can really use any type of chocolate that you want. 

Sugar - Helps to add some sweetness! 

Water - This is used in the Instant Pot to melt the chocolate. 

How to make Instant Pot Fondue

You're going to love the ease. It will literally take you just 30 seconds of time to make this delicious fondue recipe! It's so fast and simple to make!

Step One: Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place a trivet.

Step Two: Place a bowl on the trivet and place the chunks of chocolate into a bowl.

Step Three: Pour the sugar, heavy cream, and liquor into the bowl.

Step Four: Put on the Instant Pot lid and cook on low pressure for 2 minutes.

Step Five: When cooking time is complete, do a quick release.

Open the lid and stir well.

Step Six: Pour the melted chocolate into small bowls or a large serving bowl. 

Serve with fruits, marshmallows and anything you like and enjoy 🙂

Variations

Change up the chocolate - You can use semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, or anything else that you'd like.

Make it alcohol-free - Just leave out the alcohol, and you're all set!

  • If there are still lumps of chocolate that remain after cooking, just stir until they melt.
  • The chocolate mixture will be extremely hot, so be careful when eating. It's a good idea to let it cool a bit so that it's thicker and easier to dip into.

How do I thin out fondue?

If the fondue is too thick, you can just add in some more heavy cream or a little bit of milk and stir. Add a little at a time so you don't overdo it.

Can you reheat fondue?

Yes, you can store and reheat fondue. Once the chocolate is melted, you can just reheat it in the microwave when you're ready to enjoy it again.

Why is my fondue lumpy?

If there are still lumps in your fondue, then you need to stir it a bit and try to get those extra lumps to melt.

Can I use fondue as frosting?

  • 3.5 oz heavy cream
