  • 1 lb beef stew meat cut into cubes
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 3 medium potatoes chopped
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 2 cups fresh kale leaves trimmed and chopped
  • 2-3 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  1. I’m a new instant pot user, but I have tried this recipe two times in a row, one for the family and after the success, second time for the guests. I tried another recipe sometime ago in the pressure cooker, but my family and friends say this was the best one they had tasted! I will make it again next week.

  2. This is such a nice recipe. However, I’m planning to replace hot sauce and beef broth with V8 juice. How much V8 juice will be good to go in this recipe?

  3. This recipe has turned out excellently. I used about half cup of pearled barley as my husband is not too fond of potatoes. It was reasonably spicy even for my children. Thanks for this recipe!
