Chicken Balti

Chicken Balti is a rich, flavorful curry that is cooked quickly over high heat in a single pan, making it both easy and delicious. This dish comes from the British-Indian fusion cuisine and is known for its bold spices, tender chicken, and thick tomato-based sauce.

Unlike slow-cooked curries, Balti is made in a short time, allowing the ingredients to keep their fresh taste while blending beautifully with the warm spices. Whether you serve it with naan, rice, or chapati, Chicken Balti is a perfect meal for anyone who loves vibrant and comforting flavors.

Why This Recipe Works

This recipe works because it uses a quick-cooking method that keeps the flavors fresh while still giving the chicken enough time to absorb the spices. The use of garam masala, cumin, and coriander creates a warm, aromatic base, while tomatoes add natural sweetness and depth. Cooking the spices properly enhances their flavors, making the dish taste like an authentic restaurant-style curry.

Another reason this recipe is great is its simplicity and flexibility. It doesn’t require hours of marinating or long cooking times, making it perfect for a busy day. You can also adjust the spice level, add vegetables, or swap the chicken for lamb or tofu. Chicken Balti is a quick, one-pan meal that delivers bold and satisfying flavors with minimal effort!
