Cheese Croissants

Cheese croissants are a soft, flaky, and cheesy treat that is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even as a light meal. They are made by filling buttery puff pastry with melty cheese and baking until golden brown. This recipe is very simple and needs only a few ingredients.

You can prepare them quickly and enjoy warm, fresh croissants at home without much effort. These croissants are crispy on the outside and filled with gooey, cheesy goodness inside. Whether you are making them for yourself, your family, or guests, they are sure to be a favorite.

Why This Recipe Works

This recipe works because it combines flaky puff pastry with melty cheese, making a perfect balance of texture and flavor. The puff pastry bakes up golden and crispy, while the cheese inside becomes soft and gooey. Brushing the croissants with egg wash adds a shiny, bakery-style finish. You don’t need to make the dough from scratch, which saves time and effort.

You should make this recipe because it’s easy, quick, and super tasty. You can customize it with different types of cheese or add herbs and spices for extra flavor. These croissants are great for breakfast, tea-time snacks, or even as a party appetizer. Plus, they’re ready in just 30 minutes, making them a perfect last-minute treat!

Ingredients

Puff Pastry – The flaky base of the croissants. You can use ready-made puff pastry sheets or crescent roll dough.

Cheese – The filling that melts inside. Use cheddar, mozzarella, or cream cheese. You can mix two types of cheese too.

Egg – Used for egg wash to give the croissants a shiny, golden top. You can also brush with milk instead.

Butter – Adds extra richness and helps brown the pastry. Optional but recommended.

Salt & Pepper – Simple seasoning to balance the cheesy flavor. You can also use Italian seasoning for extra taste.

Tips

  • Keep puff pastry cold while working to make rolling easy.
  • Don’t overfill with cheese to prevent leaks while baking.
  • Brush the croissants with egg wash for a golden crust.
  • Add herbs or chili flakes for extra flavor.
  • Serve warm so the cheese stays gooey and soft.
