Ingredients

Sesame Oil: Olive and avocado oils will work in a pinch, but sesame oil will give your dish the best flavoring.

Garlic: You can use powered here if you like, but fresh is always healthier and more flavorful.

Onion: Yellow onions will work here as well.

Green Pepper: Ensure onion and green pepper are diced roughly the same size to ensure even cooking.

Ginger: If you are using fresh ginger, try peeling it with a teaspoon. It is easier and creates less waste.

Vinegar: You can use rice or white vinegar here. In case you're wondering, rice vinegar and rice wine vinegar are the same thing!

Soy Sauce: As are soy and soya sauce

Chili Sauce: There are several kinds you can pick up at your local grocery stores, like Frank's Red Hot or Sriracha, or you can make your own.

Tomato Ketchup: If you want to reduce the sweetness, you can always use tomato sauce or paste instead. Or get a little spicy and use BBQ sauce.

Cornstarch Water: Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to make a runny paste. Use as much as needed to achieve the desired consistency.

Cauliflower: You'll want the florets to be about nugget size.

Cornstarch: While cornstarch and cornstarch are both gluten-free in their natural forms, you must always make sure that the package clearly states that it's gluten-free if you have an allergy. Since these items are usually processed in the same manufacturing facility as other wheat items, you'll want to avoid cross-contamination.

Garlic Ginger Paste: You can make this and keep it in your fridge for future use. It's especially great to have on hand if you make a lot of Asian or Indian cuisine. Mix equal parts garlic and ginger with some oil in a blender to make a paste. Turmeric is optional.

Chili Powder: Chili powder is deceiving because it gets hotter over time, so if you add in a bunch trying to make your cauliflower Manchurian a bit spicier, you may get burned.

Spring Onions: Chop and use as an optional garnish.
